Casino Royale Breakdown
Like most recent James Bond movies, Casino Royale seems to be structured around sequences that run 10-15 minutes long. Unlike most Bond movies, Casino Royale features both an external and an internal goal for Bond, though the internal contains a twist that shifts it from success to failure in pretty short order. It's also worth noting that unlike the advice of many screenwriting gurus, nearly every sequence goal ends in SUCCESS, though Bond of course encounters conflicts and setbacks along the way.
As always, these breakdowns contain SPOILERS, and are only recommended if you've already seen the movie. You can check my introduction to these breakdowns, to get an overview of my process and philosophy to these breakdowns.
